In the UK we’re in this weird twilight period between live music events WITH NO DANCING and still staying at home so as not to breathe on each other.
Over the last year or so I really got into streaming live DJ and AV shows - initially on Instagram, and eventually on Twitch. It was a big change and a big challenge, but I’ve found plenty of positives within it.
So in keeping with half in/half out vibe at the moment, I tried something new again last night - my first simultaneous live show (at @escapetofreightisland in Manchester) AND live stream on Twitch!
It was a technical challenge, but thanks to the amazing tech team at Freight Island, we did it!
My questions:
- am I the first DJ you’ve seen do this? I haven’t seen anyone else.
- would you like more? Is this the future? Or do we like strict separation between venue and home?
